Fiat Joining Hands With Waymo For Self-driving Tech Test

The companies new collaboration has bought the new deal into hands which are termed as Level 4 autonomous system. According to this, Fiat and Waymo have decided to add Ram ProMaster to Waymo’s self-driving test fleet. The RamPromaster is focused on using it as research delivery with other self-driving technologies.

Ram ProMaster is a commercial van that is testing Waymo’s self-driving tech which will be more driver-centric to provide them with a more enhanced performance.

Fiat Chrysler Automobile has said the driving technology available in the line-up is in ready to use condition for the general public. Waymo has been working on this tech from years also joined its hands earlier with two reputed automotive companies such as Jaguar, and Polestar.

In March, Waymo driver technology has tied their hands with Jaguar and Polestar for testing Jaguar I-PAce electric SUV for self-driving. Waymo is working with Polestar for delivering an autonomous ride.

Waymo is a subsidiary company of Alphabet which is making the unbelievable things possible through the evolution of new and high-end self-driving technology. The Waymo partnership with FCA is going to be more fruitful in the near future. Waymo has added the RamProMaster van to make it more likely easy for humans to transport goods and other stuff.

The transportation of goods with the help of self-driving tech has gained more popularity at the time of coronavirus pandemic as the social distancing can be properly followed and contactless delivery.

Waymo has been in self-driving business for a longer duration where they have been testing and running a self-driving van for years.  The company is ready to offer condition but FCA is conducting tests to ensure safety.
